Sycor takes over the SAP® partner cogimo

With the takeover of cogimo GmbH on May 1, 2010, the Goettingen full-service IT provider Sycor continues the strategic growth course of the previous years. The cogimo experts add their know-how of the SAP environment and the automotive supplier industry to the group.

(Goettingen) "The cogimo GmbH company is an optimal fit for our strategic planning. With the SAP and industry expertise in the area of automotive suppliers, we are expanding our broad range of services in the SAP-ERP environment. The location in Waldenbuch near Stuttgart brings us closer to our customers in the south," Sycor CEO Dr. Marko Weinrich explaines the reasoning for the company takeover. In addition, cogimo brings experience as a SAP Value Added Reseller to the group.

As a SAP partner, cogimo was - just like Sycor - involved in the development of the fully integrated SAP All-in-One industry solutions for serial manufacturers, automotive suppliers, component fabricators, and metal and plastics processors. Today they are focused in particular on the automotive suppliers industry. The company has extensive experience in holistic implementations of SAP systems, in the development of organizational concepts and in the logistics and process optimization in existing SAP systems. This range of services is rounded out by barcode solutions and a system developed in-house for production and machine data acquisition (BDE / MDE).

cogimo CEO Dietmar Lohr emphasized the synergy effects of the takeover for his company's existing customers: "Our customers will benefit from the comprehensive Sycor service portfolio as a full service provider for SAP and IT. As a reliable partner, we will keep our customer and quality based approach." In addition, he is happy that Sycor is keeping all 13 employees and the location. The diploma mathematician Lohr will continue to manage the company together with Anke Waldmann, authorized signatory and commercial director at SYCOR GmbH. They will be supported by Dr. Steffen Gremler as authorized signatory. Gremler is already directing the SAP activities at SYCOR GmbH as authorized signatory and member of the board of directors. In the course of the consistent one-brand strategy, the company will assume the Corporate Design of the group and operate as SYCOR Cogimo GmbH.
